Betterspace brings digitization to AMEDIA Hotel
On November 1st the new AMEDIA Hotel Linz finally opened its doors. Now hotel guests enjoy a drink in the modern “Steelbar” or take a break in the hotel lobby in inviting leather armchairs. In the comfortably furnished hotel room, hotel guests will find their own feel-good environment with maximum service. The hotel and its 97 rooms also impress digitally with first-class equipment. According to its own statement, the 4-star hotel was the first hotel in Linz and the surrounding area to commit itself to 360° digitization. It is important for the hotel to offer its guests the best service. And the new digital solutions are enthusiastically accepted by the guests.
Digital solutions for every hotel area
In the hotel’s own underground car park with over 50 parking spaces, hotel guests can load their e-cars at the two smart iQ Charger EV charging stations. Adapted to the requirements of the hotel industry, the e-charging box takes the power consumption of the hotel into account. This way, the intelligent EV charging station avoids rising load peaks. Guests throughout the hotel use trouble-free WLAN around the clock. With the reliable connection to the Internet, the hotel cleverly meets the requirements of the hotel guests. After all, which guest travels today without a smartphone? Hardly any guest would want to do without reading e-mails and the helpful navigation app when travelling.
Much more than just digital information folders
All 97 rooms of the new AMEDIA hotel are equipped with digital guest directories iQ Tab. And the tablet computers have long replaced more than just the information folders in the hotel rooms. Hotel guests inform themselves about the hotel and its offers with elegant in-room tablet computers, order something from room service and phone the reception desk via the tablet. “Leather-bound guest directories in hotel rooms, daily newspapers in paper form, mountains of reservation correspondence in folders are all yesterday’s news,” says Florian Schuhmayer.
Simply cancel room cleaning
Comfortably from the bed, hotel guests use the digital guest folder to find out more about regional excursion tips and breakfast times at the hotel. Chatting with the reception staff also simplifies communication between guest and hotel. “The digital solutions are very user-friendly and simple,” says the hotel manager. The smart helper not only knows all the important information about the hotel and its surroundings. For example, hotel guests can use the in-room tablets to cancel room cleaning if they don’t need it. With the Green Option, guests can make a contribution to environmental protection at the touch of a finger and at the same time relieve staff.
More service at the hotel
Offering digital services to the guests was the primary task from the very beginning. Finding the right partner for digitization in the hotel turned out to be easier than expected. An Internet search brought hotel director Florian Schuhmayer to Betterspace. The leading 360° software provider for the hotel industry offers all the solutions they were looking for from one source. “In addition, Betterspace is always looking for new innovative and smart solutions. It’s very convenient for us.” The versatility of the solutions was the decisive argument for Betterspace’s smart assistants. “Searched and found,” summarizes the hotel director.
Quick Check-In and Check-Out at the hotel
In addition, the check-in and check-out process will be digitized at the AMEDIA Hotel Linz. The hotel director is particularly interested in simplifying the work processes and making it as comfortable as possible for the guests. This also includes the digital registration form. “This is already being worked on” and will soon be implemented together with Betterspace. The saving of paper and printer toner is also an important aspect here. “As an example, we really only try to print necessary correspondences,” explains Florian Schuhmayer. This is not only a bureaucratic relief for the hotel, it also protects the environment.
Digital solutions in the entire hotel
